How do I recycle plastic items from my Metropolitan Market orders?

If bags, food pouches, and other plastics from your Metropolitan Market orders can’t go in your blue bin, recycle them with our free, 3-step test program: 

1. Empty, rinse, and dry any plastics that aren’t curbside recyclable
   • Common items include:
     • Clear plastic bags that protect fragile items
     • Chip or snack bags
     • Food pouches, such as baby food or squeezable nut butters
2. Fill a Metropolitan Market box (or any box) with plastics
3. Once full, download a free FedEx shipping label and drop off your box at any FedEx or partner location near you

Plastics will be diverted from landfills and sent to our partner, WasteZero, which gives hard-to-recycle plastics new life.
